You can talk a lot about the best garden shredders, but the question remains. How to choose the most worthy? The answers to it were suggested to us by an experienced summer resident Vasily Eluferiev. He advised me to draw up a memo before buying and pay attention to a number of points.

Purpose

Decide what you need a shredder for — this is also called shredders. Estimate the amount of work and materials to be shredded. Units with a power of up to 2 kW are capable of chopping tops, branches no thicker than 20 mm. Models of the middle class and a power of 2.5 — 3.5 kW are suitable for owners of large gardens with mature trees. The high rotation speed and efficient cutting mechanism allow you to cope with branches up to 50 mm thick. There is even more professional equipment that can process branches with a diameter of up to 100 mm. It is typically used by parks and urban landscaping companies.

Engine type

Professional equipment is completed with petrol engines. Such shredders are more expensive and more powerful. For summer cottages, electric ones are more often used. They are considered less noisy and easier to operate. But then there should be electricity on the site, this is logical.

Type of cutting equipment
